An Award :)

Susie from Susie's Cardmaking Adventures has given me this lovely award - thank you Susie for thinking of me xx

Now for the rules of this award:
I have to state 8 things about myself then pass it on to 4 bloggers, letting them know that they have got this award too...so here goes!

8 things about me:
1. As part of my degree, I lived in Montpellier in the south of France for 6 months, I went to a University for 4 months and worked in the tourist office for 2 months;
2. While in France, I developed a fear of insects, particularly of spiders, especially if they have big hairy bodies and long hairy legs!;
3. I love the Harry Potter series of books and cried when Dumbledore died!;
4. I love rock music, especially Queen, Rainbow, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Metallica, Gary Moore, Kiss and some modern rock bands too;
5. My mum and gran taught me to knit and crotchet when I was very young and I made scarves and jumpers;
6. I am a Teaching Assistant at a Special School and love every minute of it (and the children love my card club);
7. I love reading all genres of books - thrillers, historical, chic lit, classics, horror, autobiographies;
8. I have a fantastic hubby and two lovely sons.

Now I'm passing this to:

Tiny Christmas Treasures

Just take a look at these cuties from Pink Petticoat!
Here they are in green:

And here they are in red:

These digi images are ideal for last minute makes and fit perfectly on a 10cm square card blank. And because the card is so small, you only need a small amount of paper.
I printed the backing papers onto photo paper (it was on special offer at Asda!) and it gives the cards a high quality look.
Thanks for looking x

Papers: Little Check and Snowflakes - Pink Petticoat
Embellishments: gems - Kars; Glamour Dust; images cut with Nestabilities and coloured with Promarkers

Set of cards

Here's a set of cards I made for my mum as an extra Christmas pressie.
I don't usually make cards just using design papers but I think these turned out quite well.

Another batch of Pink Petticoat cards

I coloured these images during the October half-term holiday and have only just had time to make up the cards!! Oh well, better late than never! These cute penguins look really great on the tiny 10cm square card blanks and will make perfect cards for 'extended' friends and neighbours.
Images coloured with Promarkers; Glamour Dust; Docrafts paper; Scalloped/Inverted Scalloped Nestabilities Circles; gems.
I have been really busy with new DT projects for Little Claire's Designs and I will have some exciting news to share with you soon!
Thanks for looking and keep warm xx

Christmas Pals

This card was so easy to make with the Christmas Pals peel-offs from Little Claire's Designs.
I used Nestabilities Labels 8; gems; ribbon (Little Claire)

Christmas Donkey

I made this card for one of my sons. He informed me, quite bluntly, that the birthday card I made him earlier in the year wasn't very good and he hoped the Christmas card would be better!! Hopefully this cute card will make him smile - and, more importantly, it will be up to scratch!!!
The image is a freebie from Pink Gem; coloured with Promarkers and atyou Spica gold pen; Dovecraft papers; Card Candy.
Thanks for looking x

Shep!

Another cute release from Little Claire's Designs. I have used Shep to embellish two gift tags. The first was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the second with Walnut Stain Distress ink. I used a water brush to colour parts of the image. I added gems, card candy, peel-offs and ribbon (tags, peel-offs and black & white 'woof' ribbon were from Little Claire's Designs)

New Releases from Little Claire's Designs!

GEORGIA

Little Georgia is watering her garden and doesn't she look so cute! The image is so versatile, it could be used for any occasion and is a breath of fresh air after the ice and frost we've had this week.
Images coloured with Promarkers; gingham ribbon oval scallop and leaf cutting dies from Little claire's Designs; Martha Stewart daisy border punch; button, gems and ribbon from stash; Nestabilities; Swiss dots cuttlebug folder.

I'LL BE THERE FOR YOU

This little elephant taking care of her tortoise friend is just so cute and the image is so easy to work with. I wanted to make two totally different cards, so I used plain cardstock for the background to the first and Pink Petticoat papers for the second card. I cut leaves from the papers and attached a handmade flower to finish it off.
Both images were coloured with Promarkers; Glamour Dust added for sparkle; Nestabilities; card candy; gem.

A PLACE IN THE SUN

This new stamp is fantastic for all occasions and comes with a choice of two sentiments - Birthday Wishes and Home Sweet Home. I loved working with these new stamp as it is completely different from anything I have used before and I am very pleased with the results. The photos dont really do the cards justice :( The first card has a lovely summery feel to it - the perfect antidote to this dreadful weather!

I coloured the images with Promarkers (1st card) and Distress Inks (2nd card); papers from Pink Petticoat; Martha Stewart punch; gems.

BIRDCAGE

Just look at this cute little girl reading her book while her little birdie is keeping her company! This image is just so cute and works well with both contemporary vintage colour schemes.
Image coloured with Promarkers; papers from Pink Petticoat; Bazzill card; gems; peel-offs from Little Claire's Designs.
Phew! that was a huge post!! All of these stamps are available at http://littleclaire.co.uk/index.asp?category=2
The DT have made a fabulous selection of cards, so pop over to Little Claire's Designs and take a look in the gallery.
Keep warm xx

Lots of Fun!

Here is the latest release from Little Claire's Designs. How cute are theses little elephants? I just love them. They come with some great sentiments too.
I coloured the images with Promarkers and added Glamour Dust to the water for extra sparkle. The boat card and 'little sailor boy' sentiment are from The Cutting Cafe (click on the Blinkie on the right)
Thanks for looking,
Keep warm!!
