Challenge 16 at Little Claires

The theme this month is for 'Family Christmas', so I decided to use the 'Room With A View - Nativity' stamp set.  Here's my card:

I used Kraft paper to give a rustic feel but glammed it up with Kaleidascope embossing powder - love this stuff!  The circle sentiment and crown stamp are all from the set.  I coloured the image and sentiment with Promarkers.

Hope you're all ready for Christmas!  I have a few odds and ends to get but I'm just about done now.  Just as well really, as I've had a bad cold/cough for the last few days and haven't had the energy to do anything.  Moan over ... !

Have a fab week xx

PS.  The prize for this month's competition is a £10 voucher from Little Claire whoopee! and just to let you know, there is a sale at Little Claire with some very yummy goodies, be quick though, they wont hang around at those prices.  Click HERE to look at the sales items.

A monkey on a Christmas card? !!!

Yes, I was asked to make a Christmas card with a monkey on it ... and since it's for my son-in-law to be, I thought I'd better oblige!!!

Here it is:

It's a gate-fold card.  I gave the monkey some Christmas-red shorts, added some Inkadinkado flourishes, Flower Soft snow and Card Candi ... et voila!

Hugs

The monkey image was a freebie - if anyone recognises it, please let me know who drew it, so I can credit them :)

Teapot gift set

Here is a cute little set I made for my mum's friend.  It was her birthday last week and she's feeling a bit under the weather, so I hope this cheered her up :)
I used the Teapot Shaped card and Teabag Holder, both available from The Cutting Cafe.  The card even comes with a matching envelope which I decorated to match the teapot.
Inside the Teabag holder, I have put a couple of Fennel teabags with brewing instructions.

New Challenge at Little Claires

The new challenge over at Little Claires is 'Shaped Cards'.  Here are my DT cards:

 Using elements of Blossom Fairy

Using Shep

This month's prize is fabulous:
I have both of these stamp sets and they are so versatile.

Enjoy what's left of your weekend!

My new Crafty Individuals stamps

Here are a couple of cards I made recently, using my new stamps from Crafty Individuals:

Both images were stamped onto smooth white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured with Promarkers.  Then I cut them out and before mounting, I sprayed them with Spray and Shine to give a glossy finish.  It makes them look like photographs!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend x

Workshop Cards

Just a quick post to share some lovely cards I made at Amy Shaw's workshop last Sunday. We used a Snowflake stamp set by Stampendous that was ours to keep - how cool is that?

The aim of the workshop was 'one stamp ... six ways' (yes, we made SIX cards in 2.5 hours!!!)

One:
Plain and simple stamping with a touch of Stickles.

Two:
Stamping, a touch of Stickles and velum.

Three:
 Embossing with Kaleidascope embossing powder.

Four:
 Using Gilding Flakes.

Five:
 Triple embossing.

Six:
Alcohol ink background.

It was a fab workshop, made even more fabulous by a plentiful suppy of choccies and coffee ... cant wait for the next one!

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend xx

The First Little Claire Blog Hop!

Welcome to my Blog and welcome to Little Claire's first blog hop - let's hope we have many more :)

Here is a card I've made using one of the brand new Red Gingham stamps, Little Tammy:

The detail on the stamp is exquisite and it looks gorgeous when embossed.  The sentiment is also by Red Gingham and you can find it here.

My fellow DTs have more gorgeous cards to share with you, so make sure you visit them all and the lucky winner of the Blog Hop will receive a full set of the new designs!

This is what you need to do to take part in the blog hop:

1.            Visit each of Design Team members’ blogs (links below) and leave a comment on their post about the blog hop.  They will all have a card to share with you made with one of the new Red Gingham stamps.  You also need to leave a comment on this post.

2.            Each Design Team member will also include a letter in their post.  Once you have all the letters, you need to rearrange these to form a word.

3.            Once you know what the word is, e-mail your answer to helen@littleclaire.co.uk – PLEASE DON’T POST YOUR ANSWER IN ANY OF YOUR COMMENTS!

4.            The blog hop will close at midnight on Sunday 13 November and the winner of the stamps will be announced on Tuesday 15 November.”
My letter is E.

Good Luck everyone!

Pink Petticoat does it again!

Here are some cards I made using a GORGEOUS new digi from Pink Petticoat:

The sentiment reads "Celebrate the season ... in style!"

I coloured the images with watercolour pencils, added sparkle with a Sakura pen and cut them out with my Nesties.  I stamped a gorgeous Inkadinkado flourish on the card base and used coordinating ribbon.  I didn't have any copper ribbon, so I coloured some white/black dotty ribbon.  Finally, I inked the edges of the die-cuts ... et voila ... a batch of beautiful girlie cards for my friends :)

Have a nice weekend x

New Tag cards at Little Claires

These new Tag Cards from Little Claires make a great alternative to a card.  They can be used whole - four panels - or cut in half - two panels - to make a smaller card, or even cut into individual tags.

Tag card 1

Tag Card 2

Tag Card 3

To decorate the cards, I used the First Edition Isabelle paper pack and Little Claire's beautiful new Little Beauties Tag Stamps.  I added pearls, gems and ribbon from my stash and used punches to make coordinating borders and embellishments.

Have a nice weekend folks xx

Doves of Peace

Just a quick post to share some cards I've just finished.
I bought this 'Dove' stamp after seeing a card Amy Shaw's friend Jo made at a charity fund raising event.  Here's my interpretation:

Thanks for the inspiration Jo!

That's 22 Christmas cards done now, about 30 to go :)

Have a nice week xx
