Doves of Peace

Just a quick post to share some cards I've just finished.
I bought this 'Dove' stamp after seeing a card Amy Shaw's friend Jo made at a charity fund raising event.  Here's my interpretation:

Thanks for the inspiration Jo!

That's 22 Christmas cards done now, about 30 to go :)

Have a nice week xx

Sneaky Peek ... Day 3

I'm back with another Sneaky Peek of the new releases from Little Claire's.  Today, I'm showing you a card I made a sweet image from the Cutie Patootie range:

I customised some design paper and a couple of tags using distress inks and gold embossing powder.  I stamped and coloured the image with Distress Inks and added lace and a distressed chipboard flourish to finish.
This really is such a cute image!

Another Sneaky Peek ... beautiful Poppies

I'm back with my second Sneaky Peek.  Today, I'm showing you a stamp from the new Red Gingham range called 'Poppies'.  It's absolutely gorgeous and is probably one of my favourites:

I crackled the background on a piece of mountboard and painted over it with some beautiful Silkies paint (which I won in a raffle!).  Next, I stamped and embossed the image with black embossing powder.  I painted over the flowers with the Silkies paint again to give depth to the colour.
Then, I aged the edge of the mountboard with Black Soot Distress Ink and highlighted it with Wow gold embossing powder.
I added silver eyelets with my Crop-a-dile and threaded some gorgeous black and white gingham ribbon through for the loop.  Finally, I attached the calendar with two pieces of ribbon.

Hope you like it!

Remember to visit Little Claire's Blog for your chance to name and win the full set of Cutie Patootie stamps :)

Come back tomorrow for another Sneaky Peek!

Welcome Cuties ... and a competition to win them all!

Hi folks,
Today, I am showing you the first Sneaky Peek of some fabulous new stamp sets from Little Claire.  One of the sets is called Cutie Patootie and it features the most adorable girl and boy characters.

Here is a card I made with the little girl holding a flower:

As soon as I saw the stamps, I thought ... Distress Inks, swirls, shabby flowers ... et voila!!

Competition:

Little Claire is offering one lucky person the chance to win a complete set of all six of the ‘Cutie Patootie’ stamps – all you have to do is to leave us a comment on the Little Claire Blog and let us know what you think the characters should be called. On Monday 31 October we’ll pick out our favourite names and these will feature on the future packing for the stamp range.

Be sure to pop back tomorrow for another Sneaky Peek xx
