Paint Fusion Daisies

I have made a couple of cards and decorated some candles to match using the Sheena Douglass Daisy stamp.  The background papers are from Pink Petticoat and the border was cut with an MS punch.

I coloured the Daisy with Promarkers and added gems to the DP.

I painted the Daisies on the candles with a dark blue background (hopefully to match the blue theme on the cards)

Have a nice week xx

Father's Day

Just a quick post!

The first card is a penny slider card (thanks for the video, Steve!) and I've used the Motorbike stamp and the signpost from the Great Outdoors set from Little Claires:

For the second card I have used a sentiment from the Room With a View - Garage set:

A Collection of Monochrome Cards

Here is a cute collection of monochrome cards I made using my favourite Little Claire stamps.  All the images have been highlighted with a grey Promarker and Glamour Dust.

Sneaky Peek!

Here is a sneaky peek of my DT card for the new challenge over at Little Claire's Designs.  The new challenge starts later today and the theme is Cards for Men - great timing with Father's Day being only a week away :)

I used The Great Outdoors stamp from Little Claire's.  The image is coloured with Promarkers and the background card is stamped with the Compass image from the set with Distress ink.

I distressed the embossed card with Distress ink and attached the images with 3D foam for extra dimension.

Paint Fusion workshop

On Saturday I went to a Paint Fusion workshop with the lovely Sheena Douglass.  It was a lovely day, filled with laughter, coffee, messy fingers and cake!
I'm so pleased with the results as I never thought I would be able to produce projects that look this good :)

My first project was a tag - I learnt how to make the crackle background and age it with distress inks ...

... and then it was on to the stamping and painting!  I finished off the tag by embossing each of the sides with Sheena's Wow powder - it really is extremely sparkly!

Next, I made a topper using an embossed bouquet stamp.  I learnt how to build up the background colours and how to paint the leaves and make the pretty pastel flowers:

After lunch, I decorated a piece of pre-crackled mountboard with the Sheena's Daisy stamp.  This can now be used as a card topper or even a fridge magnet!

My final project was to decorate a candle.  I didn't even know you could stamp straight onto candles!
I loved the textured look of the paint on the candle:

This will make a fabulous Christmas/birthday present ... I will definitely be decorating more candles - in fact, I just bought some today!!

Have a lovely weekend and I hope the sun shines for you :)

Gorgeous Gerberas!!

Here is the June club set for Little Claire's Designs - it's called Gerbera Set and it's gorgeous:

The set includes a large Gerbera flower, a group of smaller gerberas and two sentiments.
I kept the first card simple: I shaded the petals with a pink Promarker and kept to a simple pink and white colour scheme.

For my second card, I used Alcohol inks to create the background and to colour the flower.

I used the Swirl cutting die from Little Claire's Designs to create the stem and butterflies ...

and added Glamour Dust for a touch of sparkle!
