Candles and Golf

Just a quick post to share a couple of things I've been working on over the last couple of days.
Firstly, is a candle I've made for a friend:
 I printed the leopard print pattern onto tissue paper and used my heat gun to 'melt' it under the surface of the candle.
Then I added Nestie circles, round and scalloped; a peel off; a punched border and an MS leopard print butterfly.

And finally, another shaped card for someone who loves .... yes, you've guessed it - GOLF!!

Hope you've all had a fabulousy, warm weekend and here's hoping for more of the same next week!

Hugs xx

More Paint Fusion :)

A while ago, I started making my stash for a Craft Fair that I am doing in August.  It sounds like a long way off but I'm sure that the time will fly, so I'm trying to be organised!

I painted five candles:

  (there is a fifth one lurking behind!)
Personally, I'm not keen on the cream candle as I think the pure white candles show off the painting better.  What do you think?

I also painted a canvas:

I found the blank canvas in a box of items that I have bought over the last few months (well, probably more like a year!) with the intention to paint them or decorate them in some way.  I really don't know why I waited so long because once I got going, it didn't take that long at all!

 I added Distress Inks to the edges of the canvas and then I stamped swirls and embossed them with Wow gold embossing powder.  I also embossed all four edges.

For a finishing touch I sprayed the whole canvas with Gold Spray & Sparkle.

Hope you're having a fab weekend xx

A couple of Wedding Cards

Here are a couple of wedding cards I made for my MIL's neighbour.  The first one is using my favourite heart stamp by Chloe:

I embossed the wreath with Wow gold sparkle embossing powder, then added Rose Glass Glitter (by Chloe).  The sentiment was computer-generated and cut with a Spellbinders label.  I inked the edges with Distress Ink and added a ribbon from my stash.

For the second card, I used the lovely On Your Wedding Day stamp from Little Claire.

 I inked the edges with Distress Ink, coloured the image with Promarkers and added sparkle with atyou Spica pens.  The images are cut with X-Cut dies and the computer-generated sentiment with a Spellbinders Fancy Tag.

Hope you've had a fab Bank Holiday ... back to work tomorrow :(

Shaped Cards

I've been having fun with my Cameo this week, making some cards for my hubby:

I even managed to add 'Dad' to the sentiment, then used a Sketch pen to draw it and cut it out with the Cameo:

All these files are from The Cutting Cafe;
Paper/Card from my stash;
Buttons, gems, twine from stash.

Tomorrow, I'm doing my first craft fair.  It's at West Coast Rock Cafe in Blackpool, 12-5pm.  If you're in the area, please pop in and support us! Fingers crossed for good weather :)

Have a lovely Bank Holiday weekend xx
