Now to share some cards I made this week.  I finally managed to use some fabby stamps from the Born to Shop range.  I love the sentiments and the image is so easy to work with too.

Images coloured with Promarkers and atyou Spica pens
Embellishments: Card Candi, ribbon from stash, MS monarch butterfly punch
Dies: Nestabilities; Marianne D

Have a great week xx

Love Bird

Just a quick post to share a little card I made for my lovely hubby :)
Yesterday was the 19th anniversary of our first date (and St George's Day too, of course).  Where has the time gone?  I can remember it like it was yesterday lol x My hubby surprised me with a dozen red roses *smiles*

I used a cute little stamp free with Craft Stamper magazine; Cranberry Adirondack ink; linen paper; brayer; Versamark ink; Kaleidoscope embossing power; lace; Craftwork Cards sentiment.

Be sure to pop back later as I have a few more cards to share xx

25th Wedding Anniversary

This is my second post today, scroll down to see my cute mini album :)

I seem to have made a few anniversary cards recently and here's another one:

The colour scheme is a simple white and silver.  I embossed an amazing heart wreath stamp by Chloe Endean with Wow Platinum embossing powder, added layers and texture with linen card and my Swiss Dots embossing folder.  White organza ribbon, white flowers and an embossed edge to the layers finished off the card.

Mini Album

I started making this cutesy, little mini album at Amy Shaw's workshop a few weeks ago.  I finally got round to printing off photos and adding the finishing touches.  The album is for a friend to remind her of her fab 50th birthday party:

Inside each page is a coordinating tag for the photos:

Have a good week xx

Buzzy Little Bees

Look at these fabby new digi images from Pink Petticoat.  They are so cute and go so well with the new Honeycomb papers:

I coloured the images with watercolour pencils, added a touch of Glamour Dust and Distress Ink and finished off with a cutesy button ... eh voila ... a set of perfect little cards :)

Enjoy the rest of your week xx

London

A while ago, I just HAD TO HAVE a set of 'London' stamps by Artistic Outpost (especially as they were virtually sold out everywhere!!)
Anyway, I finally made a card using them today.  Definately not a one-off, I'll be using these stamps time and again.

I used TH Distress Inks - Broken China, Barn Door and Antique Linen to achieve a vintage look:

I used a distressing tool on the edges of all elements and then inked them with my blending tool.  I also used a paint brush to colour the Union Jack stamp to achieve the correct colours:

Finally, I inked some Card Candi Chips with Distress Ink - this gives the look of a velvet button:

I stamped onto Linen card and paper which adds to the vintage look.  This card was so quick and easy to make - probably about 15 minutes!  I'll definitely be making more with this set :)

Have a good week xx

Ships ... Friendship ... and ... Mica

On Saturday, I went to a Creative Expressions workshop with the fabulous Maria Simms.  It was such a nice change to make cards for men and a real eye-opener to be shown that you can still use Mica powders and Cranberry ink for men's cards too!

The first card uses Espresso, Cranberry, Versamark and gold Mica powder:

The second creation is a fabulous box frame card.  I've never made anything like this before and I am delighted with it.  I'm not sure I will be able to part with this one!

The final card uses a different colour scheme - Denim ink, silver and Aqua Lagoon Shimmer Mist:

I learnt so many new techniques at Maria's workshop and I cant wait to use them on my own projects in the future.

Hope you're enjoying the Easter hols - despite the rain :)

Paint Fusioned Candle

Just a quick post to share a candle I painted for my mum.  It's been a while since I 'paint fusioned' but I'm pleased with the results:

I painted daisies all around the candle, added fronds and finished off with gems.

Hope you're all having a fab Easter with lots of yummy chocolate xx

Cute little Fluffy Chicks!

Ooh, look at these little cutesies!!  They were a pleasure to work with and are so pretty that the cards didn't need many embellishments.
The images and papers are from Pink Petticoat.  I used my Nesties to cut the Lacey Ovals and Scalloped Circles, coloured with Promarkers, added a little bling and ribbon/seam binding.

Hope you all have a fab week xx

Football Mikey

Just a quick post to share a card I made recently:

The image is from Charmed Cards and Crafts.  I coloured it with Promarkers ...
and added sparkle to the frames of the sunglasses with atyou Spica pens.

I used a fab new paper from Pink Petticoat and added Card Candi, sendtiment, peel-off and Nestie to embellish.
