Blackpool FC

As you can probably tell, my son is a Blackpool fan and his most treasured memory is of going to Wembly last for the play-offs - and winning, of course!

Hope he likes his card!

Happy Birthday for tomorrow Antony xxx

Floral Set - Again!

No, you're not seeing things!! I have made another card using the fabulous Floral Set from Little Claire's Designs.

I coloured the images with Promarkers and added Glamour Dust; and mounted them on circle/scalloped circle cut with my Nesties.

I stamped extra flowers and added them on 3D foam for extra demension.

This stamp set is perfect for spring and Mother's Day cards.

Now, did you spot the difference between the first and second card? If not, click on the link below to see the first card I made with this stamp set:-

Distress Techniques workshop at Dawn Bibby Design Studio

I had such a fabulous time at Jane's Distressing workshop at Dawn Bibby's Design Studio on Saturday! I learnt so many new techniques and met some great people :)

Card 1:

This card has several layers: ripped green card; background image; frame with acetate window ...

... the background image has rivets (added with a 'boinger'!!) and distressed flowers and ribbon. The frame and image were scrumpled into a tight ball and distressed with Distress Ink. The edges were smeared with a glue-stick and embossed with gold embossing powder.

I love the random effect achieved this way.

Card 2:

The frame and image were distressed the same way as Card 1 (except embossing). I used alcohol ink on embossed foil. I used it to make corners.

Card 3:

No scrumpling this time! The edges of the papers were distressed with Distress Ink. The edge of the green paper were misted with water and rolled between thumb and finger, then heated to set.

The 'roll' and edges of the papers and image were embossed with gold using a glue-stick. Black ribbon was threaded through eyelet holes and die-cut butterflies were added.

I now know that 'distress' isn't just inking the edges!!

Thank you for looking x

Funny Pig!

I love making cards like this, they are such fun! It's for my son's friend, who loves pigs (as if you couldn't tell!!). Antony chose the image, so all I did was print it twice, 3D it and mount it onto papers, then think of a witty sentiment!

Hope he gets the joke!!

Happy Birthday for Thursday Michael x

Hairdresser

I made this card for my hairdresser, who has been in business for 25 years. She is holding a Champagne Buffet on Saturday to celebrate this fantastic achievement and I've been invited!
I promise, I'll be on my best behaviour!!!
The digi was drawn by the very talented and kind Ei...

...I watercoloured the image, added a handmade flower and sentiment...

...and decorated the inside. The papers are from Pink Petticoat (of course!); gems and peel-offs are from my stash.

Perfectly Shabby

I love the new 'Perfect Papers' from Pink Petticoat.

I printed these pretty grey and cream papers onto photo paper, coloured in the roses and distressed and inked the edges with Distress ink.

I added Glamour dust to the torn paper and made a handmade flower using card and shimmer mist.

The inside is decorated to match.

Floral Set

Yayyy, it's Friday!
Just a quick post today to share a card I made using the 'Floral Set' from Little Claire's Designs.

This set isn't new to the range BUT it is still just as stylish as all their other stamps. It's easy to use and extremely versatile.

I simply stamped the flowers twice, coloured them with Promarkers and layered them up! The butterfly also comes in the set and adds a pretty embellishment to the card.
You can see the 'Floral Set' by clicking on the link below:

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a nice weekend xx

Messing about on the river!

At last, I can show you the new release from Little Claire's Designs! The stamp set includes two cute images and a 'Just for you' sentiment. It's great value for money and so versatile. Click below to take a peek:-

My first card uses the girl in the boat image. How nice to have a little tomboy for a change! I kept the card simple and used pastel colours.

I even got to use my new bakers twine and card candy.

I added a glittered border around the image for definition.

For my second card, I used brighter colours - I so love these papers from Pink Petticoat :)

I coloured the image with Promarkers. The flowers were cut with Marianne D creatables and coloured with Promarkers to match.
