No papers!

At the weekend, I went to the lovely Amy Shaw's workshop, where we made a series of one-layer cards.  I've always admired other people's one-layer cards but have never been able to ditch the backing papers and layers!  Anyway, after a morning with Amy, I have put my own spin on a series of cards and this is what I came up with:

I coloured a red circle with Distress Ink through a circle mask ...
... stamped and embossed the stamp (free with Craft Stamper mag), stamped and embossed the sentiment and added a gem.

The next three cards are made the same way but the images are stamped with Archival Black Ink ...
 ... Bird (Tim Holtz)

 ... Hummingbird (Inkadinkado)
... and car (Tim Holtz)

Hope you're all having a fab week xx

These one layer cards are really good, as they say "less is more", and I think they are really effective. Anne x

Love all of your OLC Louise. Especially the one with the vintage auto.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, I will continue to use Kraft once in awhile instead of white now that I have played with it.

These cards are fab Louise. Stripping the design back really highlights the images more and gives the cards a sophisticated and elegant feel. Often less is really more. xx
